for club and country in 2016, but hopes the next 12 months will be just
as productive
The Real Madrid superstar tasted Champions League glory at club level before helping Portugal to the European Championship crown over the summer.
Since then, he has added a UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup to his collective roll of honour and a fourth Ballon d’Or to his individual trophy haul.
Topping those achievements will take some doing, with the focus narrowed in 2017 by the absence of a major international competition.
There are, however, still plenty of prizes up for grabs, including the FIFA Best Player award and the La Liga title.
Ronaldo intends to get his hands on as many accolades as possible, with the 31-year-old retaining his insatiable desire for success.

“I'm very happy. I hope 2017 will be an equal year and full of many titles and joys.”
Ronaldo is not the only player on the books at Santiago Bernabeu hoping for a silver lining in 2017.
Keylor Navas is also planning on adding to his medal collection, with the Costa Rican goalkeeper looking to repay a loyal fan base for their ongoing support.
He said: “They motivate us to continue working day by day.
“Thank God we got these three titles this year and they are very good memories that will always be there. Now we are going to continue working hard to achieve many more titles.
“We will work hard, humbly and willingly to get titles. We are really looking forward to the next games.”
Real return to action on January 4 with a Copa del Rey clash against Sevilla.
Their first La Liga outing of the new year sees them welcome Granada to the Spanish capital, with Zinedine Zidane’s side looking to preserve their three-point lead over Barcelona at the top of the table.
